Our purpose;                                                                 (as defined in our bylaws:)

The purpose of the Florence Shag Club shall be to preserve, encourage and promote the education and perpetuation of the Shag. To provide social activities at which emphasis is placed on the dance, and to inform it's members of beach music and Shag dancing activities.

The Thanks-For-Giving Raffle was a huge success. Thanks to everyone that bought tickets and congratulations to winner, Jim Westwood. Jim decided to take the cash envelope containing $300 and let the wheelbarrow full of goodies be auctioned right then and there. C.E. Benton took it home with the winning bid of $75. These Raffles are always fun and exciting and a great way to raise money for club parties, trips, donations and to help support The Florence Jr. Shaggers. 

Our next raffle is for the Basket-Of-Cheer to be given away at the Christmas party Dec. 11. Tickets are $1.00 each.You do not have to be present to win. Not a drinker? Not a problem ! You can take $200 cash instead. Check out details on the Party Flyers page.

Speaking of checking out...Next Friday night, November 27, Come check things out at the 'Fountain of Youth' for our Carolina vs Clemson pre game celebration. We'll tail gate on the pool table and dance to the music of Ms. Betty Brown, from Charleston, SC, as she entertains us from the DJ Tower as only Betty can do.....
